café, thé ou moi?

Hmmm. It doesn’t rhyme in French, but it certainly looks romantic written that way.

Here is: Coffee, tea or me?

The paper I found for the background is pretty amazing - blue, soft and felted – makes me think of old carpets and wallpaper.

For these pieces I cut down the matboard and spray-painted them gold, for jus a little extra shininess.

Wait – is that a flask? She needs to do a better job of hiding that. It’s strictly for – ahem – tea, of course.

Whoohoo! Back to work!

GAME OVER art show at Giant Robot!

Here’s my contribution to the Game Over video game-themed art show taking place at Giant Robot’s GR2 next month, from June 2 - June 27 (2063 Sawtelle Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90035).

Though I’ve played through a few games in my day, this time I chose not to go the fan-art route (though that would have been fun, also!), but to try and illustrate the cozy feeling of being in PJs - snacks, drinks, weapons and power-ups at the ready, getting lost in a tangle of cords though OF COURSE we have newfangled wireless gadgets now.
