Cuttin’ Flowers – 5 new pieces

Image

While down in Portland last weekend for the fantastic Crafty Wonderland Spring show, we went to Collage – an amazing craft store jam-packed with supplies I would have loved to have brought home with me. I managed to resist, with the exception of having to buy these 12×16″ hardboard panels. At $2.50 apiece, they’re smooth and ready to take charcoal and paint, and I wanted to try them out as a background for some fabric flowers.

Unfortunately now, I’ve already used the five boards I bought, so I’m going to have to find another place that sells them (or just go back to Portland!).

Blush 6 and Slumber Party – two new NSFW pieces for SEAF!

I found out a few days ago that I have four pieces accepted into this year’s Seattle Erotic Art Festival (Yay! Does an imaginary happy dance because I’m not the sort of person prone to actually breaking out into happy dances… yes, I’m boring). But yes – so exciting! Here is one of them, “Blush 6.”Image

And another, “Slumber Party.” …Much more innocent, a simple ink drawing.Image

Tulips, tulips, tulips! …And a recent flower collage

So obsessed with these purply-black ones. So, so pretty.

Speaking of flowers, here is a new collage – a custom commissioned piece, and one I was sad to mail off [as happens I always seem to be] this morning. I’m going to be making more of these this very soon. Last night I clear-gessoed over some wooden cradle boards to experiment with collaging over that, so – news to come!!
